I have gained a lot of weight on zoloft and recently made the switch and am hoping for weight loss.
Is there any difference taking it in the evening vs. the morning?
Has anyone had a weight loss on this medicine?
thanks

Hi Christine,
I started taking 200mg of Wellbutrin about 3 weeks ago now. My appetitie has dramatically decreased and I have lost about 10 pounds. I don't know if that happens to everybody but so far that's how its going for me. I would also reccomend taking it in the morning. Even taking it first thing in the morning I was having trouble falling asleep at night the first week.

Zoloft made me gain weight like miss piggy i can really see a difference in my eating habits after 2 weeks. I just wonder how long it takes for the other side affects to go away?

My two cents about Wellbutrin. I had severe major depression and after taking Wellbutrin, I was almost "manic' (got alot of things accomplished) It should be noted, Wellbutrin should NOT be taken if you have any anxiety disorder (GAD, panic attacks, agoraphobia). Sadly this "wonder drug" caused me to crash very badly. I do know people who were truly helped by Wellbutrin, just a word of caution.

I started this week with just 150 Mg and the headache has been bad and I can't sleep through the night.
If I stick it out longer, does the headache go away and sleeping get better?

I started Welbutri 2 weeks ago. My appetite is way down, I have nausea and diahrrea (sp?). I'm sure I am losing weight because I hardly eat and when I do, it comes right out. I've taken anti-diahrrea meds, but they don't stop it. I'm up at 4am, which is really odd for me. I usually sleep the night through because I am taking Lunesta along with Lyrica, Avinza (morphine) and Vicodin for pain management. Do these side-effects go away?

I started taking Welbutrin about 2 weeks ago. I've had nausea and diarrhea, can hardly eat anything, no appetite, and here I am at the "butt-crack" of dawn staring at my computer, so my sleep is affected. I usually sleep fine with the help of Lunesta, Lyrica, Avinza (morphine), and Vicodin for pain management. I don't mind losing weight, but this is not exactly how I thought I would do that! Will this go away?
