i have recently had my dosage upped to 450 a day. since then my sense of smell has changed somewhat. oddly enough, the thing i notice most is the smell of CLEAN water in the toilet. i don't know why. has anyone noticed any change in sense of smell?

I did a bit of looking around about this, Christian, and found some info at medicinenet.com that indicates that when you stop taking Wellbutrin abruptly it can alter sense of smell or even taste.

I am wondering if raising your dosage has maybe increased certain sensitivies in your body, which might explain why you can sense certain smells better.

I deffinately noticed a difference in my sense of smell on wellbutrin... It's a really nice side effect !

The sleepiness& headaches should lessen.
Take the Wellbutrin after you eat food & take aspirin or Tylenol for headaches. I think the irritability may just be the way you are feeling from the shift in the meds though I don't know the time frame of the switch.

Call your MD 1st thing Monday AM & tell him/her that it's an emergency. Tell MD all your symptoms. I'm assuming you're taking Wellbutrin XL which has less side effects.
