About 1 year ago I developed insomnia. I was exhausted and went to my Doctor who prescribed Lunesta. This past summer I went to Oregon for eight weeks by myself. Within two days I realized I did not need the Lunesta to have a restful and peaceful sleep.
Two days after returning home, I was back on the Lunesta full time.
In the past few weeks I think I have figured out why.
My husband has something going on. He thrashes around all night, rolling on me and I push him off. I end up with elbows in my face or he holds down my legs or face. Last night he had me in a choke hold. We have a special relationship and I know this is not personal.
I am concerned because I think that the sleep problem may not be mine. After last night I am a little afraid to take my sleeping pills and maybe not awaken if he is hurting me. He does snore at night but I do not notice him holding his breathe. He does fall asleep easily while watching TV even if he does not want to. However, I have never noticed a problem while he is driving. I have never seen him act out any sort of dreams.
I just feel like I am sleeping with a WWF Wrestler. Is this a true problem? What is it? Can it be fixed other than moving to the guest bedroom?
Thank you,
