Is it important for me to make weight training part of my workout schedule if I'm just trying to lose fat? I don't want to get all muscular, but a trainer told me I should still do some weights and not just cardio.

Weight training is important for several reasons. One, it does burn calories--your main concern when it comes to weightloss. Two, lean muscle burns more calories when resting than fat. And, three, strong muscles promote bone support and flexibility. Weight training doesn't have to bulk you up, either. Lift lighter weights for longer periods to build smaller but toned muscles. Avoid heavier weights. The more weight, the bigger the muscle. The longer the lifting period (the more repetitions you do at a lighter weight), the leaner the muscle. Make sure to learn proper technique to avoid injury.

Go for it!

Loosing weight is not a big deal now days, you don't need to worry about it. As everything has a solution. My brother was facing the same problem then his friend suggested him to try Mark Patrick's program. The programs are just incredible and a new way to get better health. I hope that you would love to know about this.
