I'm having hyperthyroidism, so memory gaps are expected to come my way, indeed I'm experiencing it already...I really want to try this herb but I'm afraid of the side effects it may brought to me...can anybody tell me its bad effects in advance?

Davao,

Fortunately, Bacopa is an herb that, by itself, has few if any side effects. Gastrointestinal discomfort is the most often reported. However, drowsiness can result if Bacopa is combined with prescription medications such as benzodiazepines, SSRIs, or SNRIs. If you were to experience any kind of adverse reaction you would want to discontinue use immediately. Also, be sure to let your doctor know that you are adding this herbal supplement to your daily regimen.

Thank you for your inquiry. If you have any other questions about herbal or prescription drug side effects, feel free to post in the forum or check out the blue and white QuickJump box, located on most Insight article pages, a quick resource for side effects questions.

Have a great day!
