I remember briefly reading something on the internet about the heat/sun lowering levels of seratonin. I am a bit confused, because people with SAD are suppose to get light to help with their depression. When I go out in the sun/heat for a bit, especially if I am exerting myself (like doing some yard work), my anxiety symptoms get worse. Usually, my hands start shaking and I feel like I am going to have a panic attack. Does anyone else experience this as well or know if heat does lower your seratonin levels?? Thanks for any response.
