Miserable in Maine
I just started taking a supplement from my naturopath (Adrea-cor) that contains mostly vitamins, but also has a combination of amino acids and Rhodiola Rosea. Within a few minutes of taking it I sneeze, feel very foggy-headed, and my sinuses start to drain. This was mild with one tablet, so I didn't think much of it, but today I took two and the symptoms are much more pronounced. Has anyone else had any similar effects? Will they subside, or should I consider myself allergic and try something else? I also seem to be much more irritable.......

smile.gif I just started taking as well. I am also giving it to my husband. I feel better taking it and I can tell he has had a better attitude. He doesn't get as stressed as before. We are taking a pure extract and vitamins are separate. The only problems we have had are remembering to not take it too late in the day because it stimulating blink.gif properties easily prevent sleep, and now we need to go buy more.

Rhodiola rosea extract is mainly used in the form of capsules or a tablet. These dosage forms usually contain 100 mg of a standardized amount of 3 percent rosavins and 0.8-1 percent salidroside because the naturally occurring ratio of these compounds in Rhodiola rosea root is approximately 3:1.
