To start, I am a female in my 20's. I take 40mg of Adderall XR, 450mg of Wellbutrin XL and am currently being weened off of Celexa. In the past week I went from 300mg to 450mg of Wellbutrin and my Doctor is weening me off of 40mg of Celexa.
I am having memory problems. My memory problems have been consistent for the past 4 months. I am unable to isolate a set of factors other than I believe that the problems occured shortly after I began 40mg of Celexa. I only know how to verbalize my problem as short term memory loss. When I explain something to someone, or am telling a story, I unknowingly leave out key details. Not on purpose of course, but I guess I unconsciously I think they already know these details. Or I forget things I need to do, even though I write it down in my planner. I'll walk into a room and completely forget why I walked in there. I know that happens to everybody, but for me it is part of my everyday life. It is extremely frustrating and I don't know what to do to fix it.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, for how long and how did you remedy it?
Has anyone experienced extremely rapid heart rate, over 100 beats per minute on any of these medications?
Has anyone experienced mild chest pain form any of these medications?
Please help me. I would appreciate any advice, stories, websites. ETC.
Thank you
tina

This is really strange but most of what you descibed is happening to me. I currently take adderal and wellbutrin. My heart beat is above average but after many tests they assure me that I am fine. As for the memory loss, that just started happening to me within th epast two months. I have been taking the medication for over a year. Th echest pains are there but I have no idea what causes them but they occured before I was on medication. I don't know if this matters but I used to be bulimic before the medication.

Yes, I have the same problem with my memory. I know exactly what you mean about going into a room and not knowing why you went in there. It got really bad and scary. Plus blurred vision. These kind of drugs will give you some bad side effects and the doctors will tell you that it's not from the meds. BULL. I have a long time of taking different kinds of these meds and I know. I have been on all of these drugs you both mentioned. I strongly believe it's the Adderall. I would strongly get off of it with your doctoprs help.(Slowly). I'm really tried right now and can go to far into it. But the longer you take it the worse it will get. You will see. I took Adderall for sometime with other meds. Got off it and my memory got btter. But never returned all the way. I just started back on adderall and Klonopin with other drugs. These 2 drugs I was taking before when my memory got real bad. That is why I'm looking here about memory loss. Because my memory is getting bad again.I felt like it was the klonopin at first. But the past couple of days I started thinking it was the adderall. Both of you have taken the adderall and no mention of klonopin. So it must be the adderall. I had a Phycryaist (Can't remember how to spell words sometimes) tell me it was probably the adderall. I didn't want to believe her and I couldn't find it as a side effect any where so I thought it was the Klonopin. But Both of you have taken adderall and not klonopin. It must be the adderall. My sister is taking Aderall too and she has been complaing of memory problems. I bet it's the adderall.

Yeah, you said the same thing 2x in your post - you should for sure get off the meds - My guess is that if you read this that you probably won't even realize that I'm talking to you because you won't remember making the post above...

I am an Adderall too. I have been taking it for about 3 years. I feel like I can't remember anything! I just googled "adderall memory loss". I feel like I am losing my mind. I also take 40mg of Prozac. Today, I seriously thought my daughter was 9! My husband looked at me, and said "SHE IS 10"!!. That is why I am researching memory loss. It is starting to scare me. I am 33 years old. I wish I could just be normal for once & not have to take meds to function everyday! This sucks..
