I was presribed Wellbutrin to get off of speed. I have not started taking it. I like doing ectasy and mushrooms every once in a while and I want to know if mixing Wellbutrin with either of these fun drugs will have dangerous effects.

You sound like one of those people who want to cool. Your not if your taking drugs. Your just stupid. And there is nothing else to say to someone like you. Everyone who knows you should just stop talking to you.

I'd also like to know the answer to this. I've heard some horrific stories of death by mixing bad e pills and wellbutrin.

You can take shrooms (psilocybin) on Wellbutrin (bupropion) but take a lot less than you normally do. It makes the experience a lot more intense.

As for Ecstasy (MDMA), some people say that on Wellbutrin, Ecstasy doesn't seem to work at all. This is dangerous because some people might take a lot thinking the pills are weak.. this is dangerous.

Other people report that Ecstasy isn't affected at all, and others say that E is way more intense on Wellbutrin.

If you're prone to seizures, I don't recommend taking E on Wellbutrin, but if you decide to, start off at a very low dose. If nothing happens, I don't suggest trying more, because it's likely just not going to work.

The reason people have such varied reports with Wellbutrin + MDMA might be due to different dosages, different ways the drugs affect people, or maybe because some of the people reporting this are feeling effects from something mixed in with street Ecstasy.

Due to the fact that street MDMA is adultrated, I would advise not taking E on Wellbutrin.. while a sober person can handle cut/laced drugs just fine, you might have a bad reaction with Wellbutrin + the drug the E is cut with.

Either way, start off at a VERY low dose if you do decide to roll (1/4 pill) and take more gradually. Stay safe <3

In my experience, the danger of mixing Wellbutrin with MDMA is that the Wellbutrin will cancel the effects of MDMA making the user feel that she has weak pills and takes more of it.

I'd taken MDMA with Paxil in the past with no significant trouble. I skipped my daily dose when I planned to roll and everything went just fine. I was very suprised by the interference Wellbutrin caused for the MDMA. My b/f claimed it was great while I felt nothing though I was not spared the hangover. I got all the bad with none of the good.

Sadly, I did none of my research beforehand or I would have gotten off the WB a few days ago to have some fun.

The same thing goes with the anti-depressant Cymbalta. I used to take E about 3 times a month. Once I started taking Cymbalta, the E had no effect on me at all. The first time I thought it was just bad E and took 2 more pills. Later on I almost fainted and I threw up. I thought it probably had something to do with the Cymbalta. So, I didn't take my Cymbalta at all on the day I planned to roll. Still, nothing happened. So I tried 2 days of no Cymbalta before taking E....still nothing. I'm guessing it takes 3 or more days for the anti-depressants to completely leave my system, in which case the E would probably work. However, it just didn't make sense for me to stop taking my anti-depressants for that long just to get high.

I was recently taken off of Cymbalta and am now taking Wellbutrin. After reading these other posts, I'm going to assume that the E won't work while I'm taking wellbutrin also.

This is my guess, but if you want to roll and you're taking anti-depressants, you should stop taking your meds 4 or more days before the night of rolling, otherwise it's just a waste of money.

Hey, I was just searching online and came upon this by typing in "Wellbutrin" and "Ecstasy". I was wondering the same thing but pretty much said fuck it and tried it. My friend and I got 4 pills, two for each of us... obviously. I took the first pill and we turned on a movie and after awhile I could feel it working. I've done e before so i knew what was going on, but this came on really fast and strong. I guess I rolled hardcore for about twenty minutes and then I was just done, maybe the because Wellbutrin already naturally messes with all your chemicals the e had nothing else to affect and just stopped. I proceeded to take a half of a pill, then the other half, and nothing happened. About two months later I tried e again, this time I had been on and off my Wellbutrin for about two weeks and I didn't take it this particular day. I rolled probably harder than I have ever rolled in my life. Most likely because I've been on antidepressants most of my life and they fuck with the way your brain receives e I'm going to assume. SO! IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO ROLL.... DON'T TAKE YOUR ANTIDEPRESSANTS THAT DAY! It'll help.... I'm pretty fuckin' sure that could be scientifically proven.
